The Review:

This has been a seller I have been dying to try for a while now but always hard to justify those $100 plus purchases. Well lucky for me my wife loves me, so she got me this for fathers day. Was overjoyed to see the bright red bag of pay dirt Sunday Morning. That however is where the joy ended, and now realize those shiny red pouches cost money and guess who's paying for it? Was so excited for this pay dirt that I forgot to take pictures of the bag, and weigh it so you only get the final gold weight pic on this review.I was so optimistic when I opened this bag, and even more when I found a 0.54 gram picker after screening. Then the joy faded as I panned and panned and wasn't seeing the amount of gold I thought I should be for the price. I even went out of my way to pan this stuff 4 times just to make sure I didn't miss a picker or something to get the ROI over 50% but nothing. So I can't foresee ever buying from this seller again with such a high cost and low ROI.

FelixPaydirt's Motherlode Bag ended with an 7.4 out of 10 score. The real killer was the real low ROI considering it as an over $100 bag of paydirt. I think my main problem was feeling let down by this paydirt, I just wanted more, but maybe that was just me.

This review is my opinion and my results may vary from your results. My bag may have been a bad batch or a great batch, remember no two bags of paydirt are ever the same. So please use common sense when buying paydirt from any seller. Oh and good luck and happy panning!

  1. They suck, just saying.

    • Felix’s seems to be one of those sellers who people either love or hate them. I am still undecided, my one bag wasn’t spectacular but I have heard some good things. I would like to try them again in the future and then make up my mind. Also, I am always curious about those big nuggets they display, would love to get one of those.

      • I just tried the jackpot bought 2 of the. One had a 4.4 gram nugget and some pickers. The other had a lot of pickers. The ROI was prob about 40%. It’s been 6 years since I’ve used them because they started to get overly greedy and I don’t think things have changed to much, I’ve heard of people getting just dirt from them, not sure how true that is, but heard it from muiltiple sources. Love your website by the way.

        • I’ve never heard anyone say Felix’s paydirt is “OK”, It’s either they “Hate” them or the “Love” them but no in between. I still want to try one of the buckets though but scared it might be a huge disappointment for a large amount of money.

Oh and thanks for the kind words! I have some major plans on updating the site as soon as I can find the time, so keep watching.

          • Hi,
Fortunately for me, I was given a Jackpot this year, as well as a Motherload bag. In the Jackpot, I got an 8.56 gram nugget, as well as two 1+ gram nuggets and at least 5 sub-1 but over .3 gram nuggets. In the Motherload, I received less, but still had a ROI of about 70%. Great website!

          • Felix’s paydirt seems to be either feast or famine, sadly I got hungry on my bag. I will say they have the best flyers I’ve ever seen. One of these days I will try them again and hope I hit the feast. Also thanks, the site is always a work in progress.

  2. Let me start by saying that your reviews are excellent and I have based a lot of my purchases from your results. However, was your lack of fun with this bag due to the high cost or high expectations. I’ve read all your reviews and CarolinaPaydirt has about the same ROI especially if bought separately, especially at Today’s prices for both sites. I was just wondering why you rated it so low on the fun factor against other paydirts like Carolina and LynchMining Superstition.

    • It was both, but mostly due to the cost. When you buy in bulk or pay more you expect a better product. With that being said an 8 is still a great number but why pay $130 for a 40% ROI when they have other sellers who consistently have ROIs over 50-60% for half as much. As to the Carolina Paydirt, I paid $40 less for 13+ lbs vs 2 and ended with a 65% ROI.

Also the ROI actually should be lower. The ROI should have been 38.39% since I forgot to add in the shipping.

      • Thank you. I was just wondering if the product itself is bad in some way. The price has kept me away from trying their site but I’ve tried most of your high rated paydirts so I was thinking about it. I appreciate your honesty in all your reviews.

  3. My wife surprised me with the same bag of Felix Paydirt you reviewed and lets just say I had that same feeling of disappointment. Most scoops had at least one color but they were very small micro gold. The last scoop at the bottom of the bag had a nice .39 gram picker and more color but it did not make up for the rest of the bag. In total i got close to 1.2 grams just like you did and my one picker was close to yours in size. Seems a little suspicious if you ask me. It cost $110 plus $18 for shipping, thats $128. The ROI was 39% and yours was 44% not a good track record. I didn’t plan on every trying them because there so expensive. I wish my wife had let me buy a bag of lynch mining pay dirt but it was neat to try them out.

    • For the price they charge the ROI really should be better. I can buy a $50 bag with a consistent 50-60% ROI so if I pay almost 3x that amount the ROI should be at least 60%. The sad thing is I still want to re-review them with a video review but that cost will probably prevent it from ever happening.
