As usual, this review is late. I was working on another review and it would have been up on time, but ran into a problem so had to delay that one. Luckily though managed to get another bag of paydirt to review. So while a day late I do have a review up now.
Also, this will be the last review with these ramblings on them. I am almost finished with the new site layout, and yes I know it has missing stuff but all will be fixed soon enough. I have been hampered by the new rating system I am using so as soon as it is ironed out site will be finished up. Once everything is all fixed reviews will only have reviews and my ramblings will be for another section.
Well on to the review and remember to subscribe to my YouTube channel HERE so as to not miss any of my reviews.
Okay, not sure where to begin with the EurekaGoldSands paydirt. I guess first off I should apologize for missing some photos. I forgot to take pictures of the bag and forgot to show the weight of bag (but it weighed 1lb as stated). I did manage to shoot the video though and get pictures of the gold and platinum I recovered and that really is the part everyone wants to see.
I also need to apologize for my ramblings in part 5. I was still a little baffled with thsi bag of paydirt as can be heard in the video.
This paydirt is really giving me fits on how to grade. While I did get most of what was promised I still feel cheated (That might be too strong of a word, but fits for now). The paydirt advertised states
Guaranteed 5-8 grains of gold
decent sized gold usually no smaller than 20 mesh
Up to .75 gram of gold + platinum
So while the paydirt from EurekaGoldSands did give me those 3 things I still felt wanting. I got the 5-8 grains of gold and almost all of it was over 20 mesh (in fact except for one very tiny speck it was all over 20). But it really wasn't fun to pan out. I just never saw the small mesh gold I was hoping for. Plus I am not a fan of the use of the words “Up to” because 0.01 grams of gold would fall in the definition of Up to .75 grams of gold. Maybe I am just wanting too much, or maybe I got a really bad bag since had no real amounts of gold or platinum in the smaller mesh. Overall I was just underwhelmed with this paydirt. It started out great and found some nice pickers, then took a nose dive.
The paydirt from EurekaGoldSands was easy to pan and would be great beginner paydirt since it really had no paydirt under 30 mesh so that means no gold under 30 mesh. It also had virtually no black sands, so again a very very easy bag to pan. In fact, this might be too easy to pan. Since pretty much everything I found was over 10 mesh it really made panning the rest pretty boring.
Also, I never did find a platinum picker, and I really did search for it. So not sure about that, but I really wasn't concerned with the platinum since I wouldn't know what to do with it, as I don't have vials full of platinum, just gold. I may rerun this paydirt again tomorrow and see if somehow I missed it.
In the end this paydirt from EurekaGoldSands is right in the middle for me. It isn't so bad I would never buy again, and it isn't good enough I can't wait to try again. I will probably buy another bag on the off chance this was just an unlucky bag. So until then I guess I will be left wanting more.
UPDATE: The above was written the day before, but right when I was going to post this and make the video live I started thinking about that missing platinum picker. So I delayed this review another day so I could look for it again. I ended up running the over 10 paydirt 5 more times, and the under 20 four more times and still no picker. I am not going to hold its absence against the seller though since I honestly wasn't worried about platinum, but it will hurt his final ROI.
EurekaGoldSands.com's 1lb Olivine Creek Paydirt with a 7.1 out of 10 total Score. Sadly the paydirt got a low score for ROI as well as the “Fun Factor” which made the value just as low. My main problem with this paydirt is the low “Fun Factor”, with nothing in the under 20 mesh it really makes this paydirt way to easy. I also still am not happy about the wording of a “Picker” with platinum.

This review is my opinion and my results may vary from your results. My bag may have been a bad batch or a great batch, remember no two bags of paydirt are ever the same. So please use common sense when buying paydirt from any seller. Oh and good luck and happy panning!
