JimbosGold.com 2lb EZ Pan Paydirt Review

The Review:

So I went into this review thinking I knew exactly what I was going to get out of this EZ Pan bag of paydirt from JimbosGold. I mean I just panned out a bag of it the day before. I was expecting a great bag of easy to pan material and a pretty good ROI as well. Yet somehow I was disappointed, nothing major it just wasn't the same as the 1lb bag. It had some issues with it that made panning this bag just not as much fun.

First the bag was light and we all know how I feel about that. It was a little shy of 4oz light. Now typically I would be throwing a fit, but since this paydirt has no native gold it isn't as big of a deal but it was still disappointing. Even though the gold amount would be the exact same if I had 1oz or 100oz it still made a difference in the amount of material to pan out, as well as the classification ratios. Which brings me too…..

My second gripe was the different sizes of this bag or the classifications. In the 1lb bag the ratios were pretty even, a little light in the -20/+30 but overall pretty close. In this bag the vast majority of it was in the -30 range. Now normally this wouldn't be a big deal, but this is EZ Pan paydirt which means no small gold. So I had a bag of about 12-14oz that wasn't going to have gold in it, or was not supposed to have any real gold in it.

I only complain about those small issues to be consistent with my reviews. Looking past those small errors it still was a great bag of paydirt from JimbosGold. It was definitely as advertised an EZ Pan bag of paydirt. It had almost no black sands and I only found 2 small specks of gold in the -30 mesh that probably just squeezed through the classifier. I am still a huge fan of Jim from JimbosGold and still think he is one of the top sellers, it really is me being a stickler for my criteria.

JimbosGold 2lb  EZ Pan Paydirt bag ended with a score of 9.1 out of 10. If it wouldn't have been for the 4oz missing out of this bag the score would have been a 9.4 again. However a 9.1 is still a great score, and I would have no hesitation buying this bag again.

This review is my opinion and my results may vary from your results. My bag may have been a bad batch or a great batch, remember no two bags of paydirt are ever the same. So please use common sense when buying paydirt from any seller. Oh and good luck and happy panning!

  1. Hey Dylan! Nice bag of dirt. Think you might have mixed up the info in the 2 pound results with your 1 pound review. Can’t wait to see the next one. Happy panning!
